Pass, Don't Pass and Come Let's finish this baby up The Craps table has three main areas and it's time we took a look at them. Walk up to any Craps game and you'll see most every has either a pass, don't pass or come bet on every point. Pass Line Here's the big one. You can make a Pass Line wager at any time. It pays even money unless you have odds. But, there's one thing you need to know. When you place a wager on the Pass Line, it stays until it wins or loses. You can't pick it up. You're only allowed to remove your odds. On the come out roll, your Pass Line wager wins on a 7 and 11, but loses on 2, 3 or 12. Any other number simply sets the point. Once the point has been established, the shooter needs to roll that number again before a 7 shows up. Your Pass Line wager is paid even money, but you can put odds behind it and those are paid better. Some casinos have single odds, some double odds, some 10x odds and so forth. Let's say you're playing at a 2x house. You make a $5 Pass Line wager. You can now place up to $10 in odds after the point has been established. Here's how $10 in odds is paid on the Pass Line: 4 or 10: $20 (Yep, double pay) 5 or 9: $14 6 or 8: $12 Don't Pass Table going cold? If so, jump on the "don't" side. It works like the Pass Line for the most part. On the come out roll, you win with a 2 or 3 and push with a 12. You'll lose with a 7 or 11. Unlike a Pass Line wager, you can remove your Don't Pass wager at any time. However, you can only place a Don't Pass wager on the come out roll. The odds are reversed. Take the 4 or 10. With a Pass Line wager, you get paid double on your odds. However, with a Don't Pass wager, you must bet double to win the same amount. So, a $20 wager pays $10. If you're a "don't" player, you love seeing the 4 and 10 and don't mind paying the juice, because the odds are in your favor. Come and Don't Come When you make a Come or Don't Come wager, it simulates a come out roll. You'll win or lose on the typical 2,3,7,11 and 12 numbers. When a point number is rolled (4,5,6,8,9,10), your wager is moved to that number. If you have a Come wager, you need that number to be thrown before a 7 to win. If you have a Don't Come wager, you need a 7 first. You can also put up odds on your Come and Don't Come wagers. The flat bet (your original Come/Don't Come wager) always works. So, if it's the come out roll and the shooter throws a 7, you may win or lose. The odds are never in action, so they are just returned if you win or lose.
